FAQ's about Email

establishing e-mail accounts

When you signed up for service your first e-mail account was created for you and is the same as your login username. The password for this account is also the same as your login password. To add additional e-mail accounts to your service, go to the my account section of the web site. Input your username and your password. You will then be taken to an account administration page. Under the Email Accounts section, input a new email address (i.e. myemail@dot11net.net) and password and press the ADD button.

To configure 3rd party e-mail clients like Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape, or others, you will need the following information:

POP3 Server: mail.dot11net.net
SMTP Server (outgoing mail server): mail.dot11net.net

Make sure to use your FULL E-MAIL ADDRESS for the username.

In addition dot11 networks SMTP servers require authentication. Please check the option which says "My SMTP server requires authentication" and fill in the username (again your FULL e-mail address) and password if necessary.
