Sports ministry with a purpose
Our church is proud to offer Upward Basketball and cheerleading for K-6th grade. Sports are a great way for children to learn about teamwork, respect for authority and sportsmanship. The sad part is all those things are being lost in today's sporting society. With Upward, the program is designed to reveal the winner in every child. The emphasis is placed on having fun and good sportsmanship, not the scoreboard and standings. Every child plays. Every child learns. Every child IS a winner!
UMME needs volunteers to work the morning concession booth for the Upward Basketball program at our church.
For several years our chapter has worked the morning concession booth and it has been a blessing for everyone that was involved as well as our largest moneymaker for the year. The money has been used
for Christmas for children and clothes and supplies for back to
school for families that needed help.
If we are to continue this program this year we need your help. Please fill in the form below and let us know what days you can work.
