Amarillo / Crosses & Palo Duro Canyon Ride
May 14 – 15th

Cancelled last year due to heat, Let’s try it again.  Come join us for an overnight stay in Amarillo as we head to The Crosses, near Groom Texas.  If you have never been, it can be a very moving experience.

Here is the updated details for our Crosses ride.

Since a smaller group is going this year, everyone is responsible for making their own hotel accommodations according to their budgets.  Melinda and I  will be  staying at:

Marriott Courtyard
8006 I-40 West
Amarillo, TX 79106
Phone # 806 467-8954

Trip schedule

Friday

This ride leaves from the church around 9:00am. Come with a full tank of gas and empty bladders. Stops are planned about every hour.  Lunch will probably be @ Subway somewhere. Average speed will be 65mph. Be sure both you and your bike are up to the pace. That puts us at The Crosses in the afternoon.  From their it’s a short 30 minute ride into Amarillo.  After everyone has rested and cleaned up, dinner will be at one of the local establishments.

Saturday

Leave hotel around 9:00am for a short 35 - 40 min ride to Palo Duro Canyon.  Plan on spending an hour there before heading back.  Should arrive home around 5:00.
